PTCOG Robert R. Wilson Award
for Significant Contributions
to the field of Particle Therapy

The Award will be given yearly to an individual currently still active in the field recognizing their cumulative
achievements in Particle Therapy. The Award is presented during the annual PTCOG Conference, during which a keynote lecture will be given by the awardee.

Candidates from all countries and any disciplines related to Particle Therapy are eligible. The awardee will receive a certificate signed by the PTCOG Chair and Secretary and will be included in a permanent roster of awardees.
The awardee will also
be asked to submit a manuscript to the International Journal of Particle Therapy summarizing his award lecture.

All nominations shall consist of:

  • A nomination form signed by a PTCOG member,
  • A Curriculum vitae with a general description of the activities of the nominee, and
  • A list of significant, contributions made, including publications if appropriate.
  • Three written recommendation letters from Members of the PTCOG Steering Committee


Any PTCOG Member can suggest a nomination and submit it to the PTCOG Secretary. At least three Members of the Steering Committee must support this nomination and write letters of support. The nominations and letters of support are presented to the Executive Committee.

Nomination letters, including the nomination form and supporting letters from PTCOG Steering Committee Members must reach the PTCOG Secretariat (This email address is being protected from spambots. For the Robert R. Wilson Award 2025 (PTCOG 63 Conference), nominations submission is open.
